Pacific Palisades, Calif. (Thursday, May 15, 2008) – The Pali Blues Soccer Club (1-0-0) have learned from the USL league office that midfielder Collette McCallum has been selected to the W-League Team of the Week for her performance this past Saturday in a 5-0 opening day victory over the Ventura County Fusion.

In 80 minutes of play, McCallum tallied four points on a pair of goals. She connected on both of the shots she took in the match-up.

“Collette did a great job of controlling the tempo of the game, and her second goal was absolute class,” Blues head coach Charlie Naimo commented.

The Blues play their inaugural home game at the Stadium by the Sea when they host the Los Angeles Legends (0-0-0) this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. in this Western Conference match-up.

"Playing our first home game at the Stadium by the Sea is so exciting,” Blues head coach Charlie Naimo exclaimed. “With 628 season tickets sold, the entire organization is grateful to the community, and we cannot wait to unveil our team and operation to our loyal fans."
