BLUES HEADED TO VANCOUVER FOR CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Winner of Saturday’s Match Advances to W-League Final Four

Pacific Palisades, Calif. (Tuesday, July 20, 2010) – After dealing with plenty of unlucky situations this season, the back-to-back USL W-League champion Pali Blues Soccer Club had the pieces fall into place prior to its regular season finale this past Sunday to gain a shot at advancing to the playoffs. What the Blues needed to have a crack at the first three-peat in league history was a win over the Colorado Rush, and the team responded with a convincing 4-0 victory to steamroll into the W-League Playoffs.

Pacific Palisades, Calif. (Friday, July 16, 2010) – With a pivotal regular season finale on tap for Saturday night, the back-to-back W-League Champion Pali Blues Soccer Club are pleased to announce a partnership with Virtual Sports to webcast the critical match. Kickoff between the Blues (2-4-3, 9 points) and Colorado Rush (2-1-6, 12 points) will take place at 7:00 p.m. PST, and a berth into the postseason will rest upon this weekend’s results.

SEASON REVIEW TO DATE

Coming into the 2010 season, there was one certainty: The Pali Blues did not know the meaning of the word “lose”. In their first two seasons of existence, they became back-to-back champions of the USL W-League, without suffering a single loss. 2010 appeared to be another undefeated season.

LAUREN FOWLKES AND ALEX MORGAN HEADING TO BLUES

Palisades, Calif. (Tuesday, May 25, 2010) - The Pali Blues, back-to-back champions of the USL W-League are proud to announce the recent signings of two new players. Teammates on the 2008 United States FIFA U-20 World Cup team, defender Lauren Fowlkes and forward Alex Morgan are set to join the Pali Blues at the Stadium by the sea this summer for the 2010 campaign.

BLUES WIN THRILLER TO BEGIN 2010 CAMPAIGN

Pacific Palisades, Calif. (Saturday, June 5, 2010) - In one of the most memorable finishes in team history, the Pali Blues captured a dramatic victory over local rivals the Santa Clarita Blue Heat in a game that marked the true beginning of a cross town rivalry. With Ali Hawkins rising to meet a Tiana Brockway corner in the game’s dying moments to score the game’s only goal, the 1-0 scoreline did little to capture the excitement both on the field and in the stands for both teams’ 2010 W-League season opener and the start of the Blues’ quest to become the first team in league history to win three championships in a row.

The Quest Begins…

No team in W-League history has ever captured three titles in a row and the Blues know even the greatest journey starts with a single step. WPS WEEK 6 RECAP

Before the week 6 of the 2010 WPS season kicked off, former Pali Blues were already making headlines. With the United States Women’s national team set to take on Germany next Saturday (ESPN 2 at 3pm local time), coach Pia Sundhage called upon 22 players to report for training camp. Among the 22 players, was none other than former Blues and current Boston Breakers defender, Amy LePeilbet. Her teammate on the Breakers, Lauren Cheney, will not be able to participate in the match however due to “a personal commitment”.

The countdown to the 2010 Pali Blues season officially began tonight as the Blues played their final warm up match of the pre season against the USL W-League newcomers the Santa Clarita Blue Heat. In front of a raucous crowd featuring the Palisades HS award-winning marching band and Blues stalwarts The Tony Danza Army, the home team gave its fans a sneak peek of what awaits them and their opponents this season at the Stadium-by-the-sea.

WPS WEEK FIVE RECAP

None was more evident that the performance of a former Blues Goalkeeper. Pali Blues, Hollywood United Hitmen Announce Formal Partnership

The Pali Blues of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) W-League and the Hollywood United Hitmen of the USL Premier Development League (PDL) have announced a formal partnership between the two clubs. In addition to the same stadium the teams already call home - the “Stadium by the Sea” at Palisades High School in Pacific Palisades, California - this new partnership will allow the clubs to share resources and expertise to create one of the most unique soccer environments in the world.

(Tuesday, March 29, 2010) – Never before has a team won three consecutive USL W-League titles, and the two-time defending league champion Pali Blues Soccer Club has its sights set on accomplishing that feat. Blues Defeat Washington Freedom in Title Game, 2-1

Boyds, Md. (Friday, August 7, 2009) – Drama surrounded nearly every minute of the 2009 championship game of the USL W-League tonight at the Maryland SoccerPlex, but the end result was the same as that of the 2008 finale. Behind an 82nd minute game-winner by championship MVP Iris Mora, the Pali Blues Soccer Club prevailed despite being the visiting club to take their second consecutive USL W-League title in as many years of their existence.

Pacific Palisades, Calif. (Saturday, June 6, 2009) – The Pali Blues Soccer Club (2-0-1) ran into a worthy competitor when they traveled to play the Seattle Sounders (2-0-3) on Friday night at the Starfire Complex, and 90 minutes of hard-fought soccer eventually resulted in a 2-2 draw. The contest was the first non-win for the Blues since joining the W-League in 2008, but the team still persevered in this match to run their league unbeaten streak to 17 games.

Burnaby, BC, Canada (Monday, June 8, 2009) – Fans at Swangard Stadium and those watching online at USLlive.com enjoyed a highly contested match between the Pali Blues Soccer Club (2-0-2) and the host Vancouver Whitecaps (0-0-3) on Sunday night. UNC Standout is Second Olympic Gold Medalist on Pali Roster

Pacific Palisades, Calif. (Thursday, May 28, 2009) – The defending USL W-League champion Pali Blues Soccer Club bolstered its roster today when it became official that U.S. National Team midfielder Tobin Heath is joining the team for the 2009 season. Heath was the youngest member on the U.S. squad when they brought home Olympic Gold last summer, and she joins striker Lauren Cheney as the second player on the Blues roster that brought home a Gold Medal.

Pali's Emily Wynne Named Player of the Week

TAMPA, FL - United Soccer Leagues announced today the USL W-League Team of the Week for the first week of the W-League season, honoring Pali Blues’ Emily Wynne as Player of the Week. (Saturday, May 9, 2009) - The Pali Blues started the 2009 season right where they left off 2008, in front on a spirited crowd of 902 fans at the Stadium By The Sea with a 2-1 victory over the L.A. Los Angeles Selects Marta with Third Overall Pick
San Francisco, Calif. (Wednesday, September 24, 2008) – Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) announced the results of its WPS Initial International Draft on Wednesday, officially assigning the WPS-playing rights of those selected by the individual teams. Each team was allowed to draft four international players, providing teams with the opportunity to begin a formal negotiation process with each selected player upon receiving permission from that player’s current club. For the 2009 season, teams will ultimately be allowed to sign up to five international players per roster. The results of the draft included the selection of 10 players from Brazil, four from Japan, three from Australia and three from Canada.

Ventura County Comes to the Stadium by the Sea for Week One Rematch
Pacific Palisades, Calif. (Thursday, May 29, 2008) – The Pali Blues Soccer Club (2-0-0) returns to the friendly confines of the Stadium by the Sea this Saturday when they host the Ventura County Fusion (0-2-1) at 7:00 p.m. The Blues were able to defeat the Fusion by a count of 5-0 when the two clubs played during the opening weekend of the 2008 W-League season.

Blues Receive Selection for Second Consecutive Week

(Wednesday, May 21, 2008) – The USL announced today the W-League Team of the Week, and Blues midfielder Jill Oakes got the nod for her performance this past weekend in a 4-0 victory over the Los Angeles Legends. This marks the second consecutive week that a Pali Blues player has received the league honor as midfielder Collette McCallum was awarded the same accolades for her two-goal effort in a game one win over the Ventura County Fusion.

Game Summary (March 29, 2008)
The Pali Blues took on USC’s Women’s soccer team today at USC, beating them 6-0. Aly Wagner assisted on both first half goals, the first in the 15th minute of play by Liz Bogus. Danesha Adams followed up 20 minutes later with a goal of her own. Four minutes into the second half, Katy Cross found the back of the net, with Adams tallying an assist. Bogus scored her second goal of the game in the 81st minute, with Camille Levin notching her first assist. Levin went on to assist on both of Rosie Tantillo’s goals. Tantillo, a former USC player, scored in both the 88th and 90th minute.
