Pali Blues internships offer a great opportunity for hands-on involvement in the operation of a sports franchise. The areas of specialization for these internships are flexible and can be customized to the interests of specific candidates. Soccer background preferred but not necessary. Pali Blues internships are volunteer positions.
The following are areas available for internships:
Corporate Partner / Sponsorship Administration
Interns will be assisting in researching and contacting new and existing partners to secure sponsorship contracts for the 2013 season. Interns will be involved in different ways to generate new partnerships and develop new programs with current, new and prospective partners. Interns will work in conjunction with General Manager and Director of Communications.
Marketing and Ticket Sales
Interns will work directly with the staff in creating and implementing new and innovative ideas to promote the team, the season games, and any special events that involve the Pali Blues. Interns will work on grass root marketing campaigns by visiting local soccer organizations, promoting the team through social media and representing the organization at local community events. Interns will also be involved in coordinating player and coach appearances in the community. Interns will work in conjunction with General Manager and the Director of Communications.
Operations
Operations interns will help the staff prepare the stadium for matches, assist the visiting team, referees, and fans, and help at the ticket booth and mercahndise if necessary amond other things while fulfilling league standards and abide by team guidelines.
Internship Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree Candidate
- At least 18 years old
- Strong interest and passion for the business of sports
- No prior experience necessary- Priority given to students that will receive credit for the internship.
